The December 20th monthly Group meeting was held at Silver Lake Water and Sewer District. This meeting was to plan the 2018 calendar year and to hold elections. The 2018 officers are Chair Mick Holte, Past Chair Dale Baxmann, Vice Chair Jeff Kobylk. Treasurer Dennis McLaughlin, and Secretary Carla Snyder with the assistance of Debbie Crooks.
Mick Holte called the meeting to order at 10:00am introductions were made and those in attendance were Tim Cantwell, Dennis McLaughlin, Debbie Crooks, Julie Davis, our Host Casey Parks, Brian Gumke, Wednesday Smith, Carla Snyder, Chris Sutton, Mick Holte, Jeff Kobylk, and Bill Kuhlman.
November’s meeting minutes were approved.
The Treasurer reported we have a balance of $30, 353.00 in the account. Dennis passed out the 2018 financial statement for the annual seminar. After total cost from the hotel and income from registration and vendor binder ads, and dues. We ended up with a net of $5,594 .22
The Group moved on with the planning for 2018
January 17th topic will the BAT forum planning and ASR Q&A location, the Mill Creek Room at the Kent Commons (525 4th Avenue N, Kent (S of Showare and W of Kent Station) We will have the Esteemed Steve Deem from DOH present to help answer questions.
February 21st topic we will discuss test reporting, location is the City of Edmonds.
March is the BAT forum this will be on Monday March 26th at the LaQuinta Inn Tacoma time is 7:00am to Noon. More details coming soon.
April 18th, Electronic submission pros and cons, location Skagit PUD in Mount Vernon
May 16th Public Education and CCC issues, location Issaquah Public Works.
June 20th topic will be to review the Group Bylaws, location Marysville and a possible tour at the Sunnyside Treatment Plant.
July 18th Seminar planning for October, location Coal Creel Utility District.
August 15th is our annual Picnic in Redmond at Perrigo Park.
September 19th topic Irrigation and winterizing, location Northshore Utility District
October 17th is the 23rd Annual Group Seminar in Tacoma
November 21st is the Annual Business meeting and Executive Board elections for 2019.
December 19th Annual planning meeting for the 2019 calendar year, location West Sound Utility District
Some locations may change throughout the year we will notify all of you if changes happen.
There was a motion made by Dennis McLaughlin to pay for the registration fee for Bob Eastwood to attend the SRC4 seminar in Spokane, Bob gets a lot of resources and contacts for our Seminar on this side of the mountains. The motion was seconded by Tim Cantwell, all voted in favor, the Motion passed.
The next meeting will be January 17th at The Kent Commons, 525 4th Ave N, Kent WA, the commons are located south of Showare and West of Kent Station, and we will meet in the Mill Creek Room at 10:00am till Noon. Hope to see you there.
