February 15th meeting was cohosted by Skagit PUD and The City of Anacortes with much appreciation toward City of Anacortes, we were lucky to have met at the City of Anacortes Water Treatment plant. Thank you for allowing us to meet at your beautiful facility up North!

The sign in sheet was passed around and those in attendance were… Dale Baxmann, Scott Barr, Tim Cantwell, Tyler Christian, Bob Eastwood, Todd Freeman, Larry Holmes, Jeff Kobylk, Casey Leyde, Robert Main, Dennis McLaughlin, Roger Sigmen, Wednesday Smith, Carla Snyder, Chris Sutton, Mark Taitano, Becky Zorn, Terry Nemeth, and Mark Fallgater. Please excuse me if I have misspelled your name or left you out.

Becky made a request to contact the DOH Office of Drinking Water for a contact list of Water Operators in the State of Washington. A motion was made by Chris seconded by Bob and all voted in favor for Becky to contact the ODW to get WDM contact list to send out notifications as they come up.

Wednesday handed out copies of the GROUP brochure which is ready to hand out to the masses. Its a beautiful piece of work!

This month’s discussion subjects were -Notification letters and Surveys there was lots of shared experiences and ideas. Like, CCS testing notification and compliance letters and their contents, sharing between CCS’s is a good idea.

We talked some about letter frequency and best management practices and what is everyone’s process. as well as BAT notes on reports regarding repairs, fails, removals etc.… important stuff for the program managers to be aware of and take action on, CCS and BAT relationships are crucial, we are all in this together. Documenting everything for liability issues is also crucial especially if public health can be endangered. Site surveys- It’s good to have two people to go out on these, the things you find when showing up unannounced, but sometimes you have to make an appointment.

A motion was made by Dennis to send Bob Eastwood to the SRC4 meeting this March and cover his cost for the seminar fee, Bob uses this opportunity to secure speakers for our seminars, motion was seconded by Dale and all voted in favor to send Bob as the GROUP representative.

We then adjourned at 12noon
