The November Group Meeting was held on November 15, 2017 at the City of Kent. The meeting was called to order at 10:00am by Vice-Chair Mick Holte. The bank balance is $30,594.00. The 2017 annual seminar gross income was 15,830.00 and the expenditures were 10,253.78 for a net income of $5594.22. Dennis reported that 5 battery chargers were sold at the Seminar and 5 were given away. He still has 40 left. A binder of the seminar feedback forms were reviewed and discussed.  The item that most attendees commented on was the poor sound system. LaQuinta apologized and offered a $250 credit towards the BAT Forum event that is scheduled for March 2018. The cost of the BAT Forum runs approx. $2000-2500 which includes rental of the room and coffee and pastries. Discussed the possibility of having a Repair class taught by Jim Pryzicki and offering .4 CEU’s. The Forum will begin at 7:30am-12:00 with a ½ hour break. Mick will check with Peggy at WETRC to see about the possibilities for the CEU’s.

Nominations for next year’s executive board were discussed. Those nominated for positions are:

  • Treasurer:
    • Dennis McLaughlin – Retired

There was not a quorum present at the meeting to vote so a vote will be taken at the December planning meeting on the 20th, meeting time is 9am – noon at Silver Lake Water and Sewer District,

vote for the open positions. We will be providing pizza and in lieu of ice cold beer we will serve ice cold soda. We would really love to see you there.

There was discussion about the bylaws. Mick will review the bylaws and update the calendar for 2018 to reflect possible changes.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00am. Those present were Mick Holte, Dennis McLaughlin, Chris Sutton and Debbie Crooks.
