Dale Baxmann brought the meeting to order at 10:30 am. Thanks were given to the City of Redmond for hosting this month.

Bob Eastwood presented Linda McMurphy with a plaque “in recognition of many years of dedicated service in Cross Connection Prevention.” Larry Holmes presented her with a Wonder Woman “Girl Power” layer cake.

The group is in need of a meeting location for September and it was decided that Edmonds would host. Bob Eastwood reported that all bios, speakers, etc. are set up for the seminar. Wednesday Smith reported that she received 11,924 email addresses from the State Department of  Health. These addresses include both Group A and Group B systems.  There are 2,687 in Group A.  Narrowing this group down to water districts and purveyors we end up with 544. Wednesday made a motion to send an email to the 544 email addresses to encourage them to join The Group. She will attach a brochure that introduces The Group.  It was seconded by Dennis McLaughlin. There was discussion and concern that if more people sign up, we may max out the number of attendees at the seminar.  It was decided that we may need to look at a change in venue if the group out grows the current facility.

Rachel Neville reported that it is now possible to renew your yearly certification online and pay with credit card. They are working on having the ability to print out your Validation Cards online,
but at this time, they will need to mail them to you. Meeting adjourned at 10:55 am.  Next meeting will be hosted at the City of Edmonds, 7110 210th St SW Edmonds 98026, Topic is 2018 community event public education planning. 10:00am till noon.

A delicious barbeque was enjoyed by all present.
